High school students use blog to share Germany trip

Thirteen DeForest Area High School students are traveling in Germany, June 14-July 5.  According to Lisa Aldrich, DAHS German Teacher, “The program is sponsored by GAPP (German American Partnership Program), a short-term exchange program subsidized by the German and American governments and supported by the Goethe Institut.”  Every other year, Aldrich takes students from DeForest to Greven, Germany, where they live with host families and attend school for three weeks.  In return, the same German students with will visit DeForest for three weeks and attend classes at DAHS.

This year Aldrich and the students are documenting their experiences through an on-line GAPP travel blog – http://fraualdrich.edublogs.org/.   Students will be updating the blog daily, starting on June 21.
