High school counselor Rebecca Schneider is starting a discussion group for parents of teenagers, called “Teen Talk for Parents”. The first session will be held on Thursday, February 3, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the DeForest Area Public Library.
According to Schneider, “Teen Talk for Parents” will provide opportunities for education and discussion on topics relevant to being a parent of a teenager. The first session on February 3 will focus on ways of strengthening parent and student success, and understanding issues such as peer pressure, mental health and drug use. Snacks will be provided. Questions can be directed to Rebecca Schneider, who will be facilitating the discussion group, at 84206629 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
