YES Hobby Day

DeForest resident Paul Anderson shared his wood carving hobby.

Parents, community members and staff shared their “hobbies” with Yahara Elementary School students on Friday, May 20.  Students learned how interests that begin in childhood can form a basis for a lifelong pleasurable hobby or even a career.

Volunteers shared hobbies such as knitting, fly fishing, garlic farming, card making, fishing and more.  Some shared their passion for “riding” – on ATV’s, motorcycles, RV’s and boats.

YES counselor Tim Hopping organized the event.
