Looking Forward – Options After High School

The DeForest Area School District, in conjunction with other Dane County schools, will be hosting the Looking Forward Workshop from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on November, 7, at the MATC Truax campus. Registration will begin at 5:00 pm and information tables will be available at that time.

This annual event is designed to introduce students with any type of disability, as well as their parents, to educational and support services available to them after graduation from high school. Representatives from numerous agencies and post-secondary institutions, both public and private, will be on hand to explain their programs, support services, and requirements for eligibility. Presenters include MATC, Whitewater University, Social Security, and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

There is no charge for this workshop. For further information, or to have a more detailed brochure mailed to you, please call Rick Hill, special education teacher, at 842-6772 or visit the DeForest Area School District’s website at www.deforest.k12.wi.us – Today’s DASD News.
