Students at Yahara Elementary School participated in the Noetic Learning Math Contest, a national math contest which fosters the development of problem solving skills in elementary students. Medals were awarded for students scoring in the top ten percent of all participants’ scores, as well as for team winners. Team winners were students who received the top score in their grade.
Top ten percent winners were placed on the National Honor Roll, and they included: Owen Chambers, Sam Fischer, Thomas Hanson, Gabriel Kennedy, Brennan O’Brion, and Donovan Wendt. Gabriel Kennedy received the top score in second grade. Sam Fischer and Thomas Hanson received the top scores in third grade. Brennan O’Brion received the top score in fourth grade.
