Early learning math and literacy night

Title I math and literacy night-12-6-12-k's countingParents of 4K, kindergarten, first or second grade students attended one of several DeForest Area School District’s Family Early Literacy/Math Nights in November and December.  Each elementary school hosted one evening, beginning with Yahara Elementary School & Morrisonville Elementary School on Thursday, November 29 (at Yahara Elementary School). Other school events were: Eagle Point Elementary School on Thursday, December 6; and Windsor Elementary School on Tuesday, December 11.

Parents learned tips and strategies for working on math and reading with their child at home. They rotated through a math and reading presentation (translator available for ELL parents), while students rotated through math and reading stations.

Parents with questions may contact their child’s school or Sharon Ganster, Reading Specialist at EPES, 842-6235.
