Middle school students make quilts for charity

IMG_9172Students in Jessica Tobiaz’s 8th grade Consumer Literacy class recently designed and hand-made quilts that will be donated to a charity.

According to Tobiaz, students will decide on a charitable organization in the coming months. Two choices so far are Dean Clinic – Hematology & Oncology or Project Linus. Students brought in old jeans and scrap material to make their quilts. They also raised money for supplies by making Game Day Meals for 8th grade student athletes.
