Student artwork to be displayed at Capital

During February twelve art students from Yahara and Morrisonville Elementary Schools displayed their work at the Wisconsin Art Education Association Regional Art Show at Hilldale Mall. Art teacher, Jeanne Freer chose their work to represent their schools.

Second grader, Natalie Hensen, from Yahara, received a blue ribbon for her tractor print which will go on to the State Art Show. Her art, along with many from across the state, will be on display in the Capital from February 22-March 1. The State Art Show ceremony will be held on Friday, March 1, from 12-1:00, on the second floor rotunda. The public is invited to attend.

A red ribbon was awarded to first grader, Natalie Gjerseth, for her fishbowl painting. A white ribbon went to first grader, Nolan Powers, for his woven cow project.
