Boettcher, Devin Anderson, and Mark Holschuh talked to students about their own careers and college backgrounds, and also shared some experiences about working at John Deere.  According to Garritt Boettcher, “Our purpose was to promote careers in engineering and science with high school students.”

The three brought along a robot built by students in Fond Du Lac’s FIRST robotics program.  At the end of their presentation, students were able to interact with the robot that automatically swooped up basketballs and threw them into the audience.

The visit was organized by high school college and career transition counselor JIMG_9304udi Walsh as part of the district’s effort to help students develop their academic and career plans.
