Students in Jenny Engel’s fourth grade class at Yahara Elementary School recently created their own “wax museum.” Students in the class researched the biographies of famous people in history, as well as wrote and memorized a speech about the person. Then on Friday, April 26, they created a “wax museum” by dressing up as their character and delivering the speeches to their parents.
Students also used technology to share their wax museum and biographical speeches with fellow students at YES. They posted photos of themselves in character throughout the school. Each photo included a QR code so that others could scan and listen to the student giving their speech.
