Children will be able to take a giant leap across the United States as they play on the Windsor Elementary School playground, thanks to the AT&T Pioneers. On Tuesday, September 24, members of the H.W. Schroeder Life Member Club of the AT&T Pioneers painted a 20-foot by 30-foot mural of the United States on the Windsor Elementary playground as part of a volunteer community service project. The project will allow teachers to use the playground to teach geography through creative play.
The AT&T Pioneers, in conjunction with Sherwin Williams Paints, provided paints and supplies for the map project. The H.W. Schroeder Life Member Club is a group of retired and active employees of the telecommunications industry who volunteer their personal time to helping the community. In 2012, they contributed over 30,000 volunteer hours to communities in the Madison area.
