During the entire month of February, School Counselor Linda Bergh led Eagle Point students through a Kindness Challenge. Throughout the month, students demonstrated kind acts in a variety of ways – notes of appreciation, playing with someone new, offering to hold the door for someone, saying please and thank you, etc. Every time someone did something kind for someone else or when someone else did something kind for them, a link was added to their class kindness chain. These chains were displayed in the classrooms and at the school’s culminating assembly on February 28. All of the chains were stapled to each other to create one long chain, which wrapped around the school’s gym almost two full times – it was a visual image of how students were wrapped in kindness.
