The DeForest Area School District will host three more Open Houses before the April 7 referendum to provide residents information about the proposed building projects. The election ballot is asking residents to borrow $41 million to renovate and expand facilities that will increase capacity, improve safety and security, address aging buildings and infrastructure, and improve learning spaces.

The Open Houses will be held on Thursday, March 26, 5:30-7:00 pm, at Windsor Elementary School and on Tuesday, March 31 at the DeForest Area Community & Senior Center, at 10:45 am-12:15 pm and 5:30-7:00 pm.

A brief presentation will be given at 5:30, followed by an Open House format until 7:00. Key individuals will be stationed at five different tables so that participants may visit one-on-one to learn more information and ask questions.  Stations include: overview of the project, opportunities for businesses, building plans and costs, financial information, and voting information.  A tour of Windsor Elementary School will also be available on the 26th.
