Breakfast brightens January doldrums at Community Center

Mild temperatures and a hearty breakfast greeted over 40 guests at the annual LINK-ages-sponsored activity held at the DeForest Community/Senior Center on Saturday, January 23.

Fifteen high school National Honor Society students and nine LINK-ages volunteers served guests, while they enjoyed musical performances by high school students Rachel Williams, Josie Brandmeier, Brenna Bernards, Rachel Williams, and Maggie Funk.

Lingering over coffee and second helpings, many expressed their pleasure in getting together for this annual event.  LINK-ages, a community/school service organization which promotes and recognizes inter-generational activities in the area, now is planning the annual Bingo party for March 6 at 1:00 pm.
