Elementary students become “Principal for the Day”

During the week of February 22, a few lucky elementary school students had the chance to be a Principal for the Day.  The honor was a result of  the annual Little Black Dress fundraiser, sponsored by Blessings in a Backpack. The principal prize package was one of the items parents could bid on during the fundraising event.

During their day-long principal role, students assisted their “real” principal in many ways, such as helping in the lunch lines, writing birthday cards, and declaring official dress up days.  According to the elementary school principals, students also enjoyed a lunch date with the principal and were given an opportunity for some special activities with other teachers and students.
