Local businesses connect with school district

On Thursday, February 16th, DASD partnered with the DeForest Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce to host an Inspire Networking Event at the high school.  The event offered Chamber members a chance to network with each other, tour the new high school STEAM  (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Math) area, learn more about the online Inspire program, and create their company profile. Over 25 local business people attended.

According to College & Career Readiness Coordinator, Kerry Johnson, Inspire – Madison Region connects students with businesses in the DeForest-Windsor area and throughout Dane County, and integrates with Career Cruising, the software program students use to develop their Academic & Career Plans.
Adrian Crabb, from Inspire Madison Region, kicked off the event by providing a brief overview, and helped get those in attendance get started using it.
For more information about Inspire or how to get involved, contact DASD School/Community Relations Coordinator, Debbie Brewster or College & Career Readiness Coordinator, Kerry Johnson.
