DECA members move on to state competition

pasted image 0.pngEighty students from DeForest DECA competed at the Wisconsin DECA District Three Competition on January 7th at Sun Prairie High School.

Throughout the day, students competed in written test and role-play simulation events. Sophomore Joseph Schauf, a second year DECA member and the Vice President of Social Projects for DeForest DECA stated, “It was a wonderful experience, as I have come to expect from DECA events.” This sentiment was repeated by many DECA competitors.

Several DeForest DECA students were successful in their events at Districts, with nine students earning the esteemed title of Series Champion. This means that they placed in the top four of their event. Twenty-three students will continue on to the State Career and Development Conference, to be held March 7th-9th, 2017.
