Wilson and Fischer qualify for National History Bee in Atlanta, Georgia

According to their website (www.historybee.com), the National History Bee’s Regional Finals are held between February and April in forty of America’s biggest cities. Each participant at the Regional Finals participates in three rounds of a fast-paced and interactive buzzer format to determine Regional Champions and National Qualifiers! Each student qualified for the Regional Finals by scoring in the top of their 8th grade team in a geography challenge held at DeForest Area Middle School. From there, they took an online test. Their scores were high enough to advance them to the regional finals.

According to Jen Brandl, the DeForest Area Middle School Journeys Coordinator, Sam Fischer and Logan Wilson qualified for the National History Bee Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.

The National Championship is the final stage of the National History Bee competition. Each competitor participates in several Buzzer and Test Rounds over the course of two days to determine the National History Bee Grand Champion in each grade division!
