Last week, a group of six DeForest Area High School students submitted a project proposal for the No Barriers Global Impact Project. These students will compete with teams led by 19 other teachers around the United States for the chance to win up to $5,000 to implement their project idea.
DeForest’s project proposal includes the creation of a Diversity and Inclusion Mural and Festival to help every person feel like a welcomed and valued part of our DeForest area community.
Students involved include Anne Manzi, Kaylin Nesbitt, Austin Wink, Cali Scholes, Kamariq White, and Cassie Giddings. Students are led by teachers, Amanda Otradovec and Briana Gustafson.
Way to go! Yay, Anne!
