DeForest Area Middle School girls attend Expanding Your Horizons conference at UW Madison

On Saturday, November 4th, 24 middle school girls attended the Expanding Your Horizons conference at UW-Madison. This one-day conference allowed girls to learn about a wide range of career options for women in mathematics, biological and life sciences, computer science, engineering, environmental science, health and medicine, and physical sciences.

Each student explored three career sessions, which included hands-on activities. They interacted with professional women who work in a variety of fields and made connections with other girls who share their interests.
