On April 12, the Eagle Point Elementary School PTO sponsored an ice cream social for all EPES families. They partnered with the DeForest Area High School’s FFA program and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board to provide ice cream sundaes for all participants.
The children learned how to make their own whipped cream and butter, and they also watched a milking demonstration.
Before the ice cream social, students participated in a fund-raising “Penny War” and voting contest to determine which staff member they would like to see kiss a calf. Phy. Ed teacher Paul Roelke was chosen for the honor based on raising the highest amount of money.
