Students enjoy lunch with grandparents

DASD elementary and middle schools held their annual grandparents lunches in April and May. Over 1,600 grandparents and other older adults participated this year!

Pictured above are scenes from Eagle Point Elementary School’s lunch on May 17 and 18.  The older adults also enjoyed participating in recess with the children!

The events are organized by each school, which began many years ago by the DASD LINK-ages Committee, a school/community organization committed to expanding intergenerational activities in the DeForest area since 1992. Learn more about LINK-ages here or contact Debbie Brewster at 842-6851 or Jane Henze at 846-5482.
