A great start to the 2018-19 school year for DASD students and staff!

Over 3,800 students and 475 staff started the school year on Tuesday, Sept. 4.   Below are just a few scenes from the first week of school around the DeForest Area School District . . .

DeForest Area Middle School students were welcomed to the first day of school with a chalk walk of inspirational words, as well as classrooms ready and waiting for them!

DASD welcomed over 24 new teachers and many new support staff.

Several DASD staff, aka “local celebrities,” helped the DeForest Area Public Library promote Library Card Month. You can see their photos on the library Facebook page throughout the month.

All DASD staff took part in professional development activities on Monday, August 27, which included an Active Threat Response refresher session.

We are all looking forward to a wonderful 2018-19 school year full of learning!
